Hi everyone.
There will be an online anatomy revision session for 'male and female anatomy' delivered by an external doctor. The ILOs that they will cover are:
Male Pelvis
Identify the bones and bony features of the pelvis
Identify the differences between the male and female pelvis
Recognise the structure and function of the male reproductive organs
Describe the layers of the spermatic cord
Describe the production and course of sperm
Describe the glands and muscles associated with ejaculation
Female Pelvis
Describe the gross anatomy of the uterus, including its normal position
Identify the ovaries, linking structure to functional microanatomy
Describe the anatomy of the vagina and female perineum
Identify the ligaments associated with the female reproductive system
Illustrate the blood supply to the female reproductive system
Understand the significance of the innervation of the female reproductive system
Correctly interpret imaging of the female pelvis
Childbirth
Describe the gross anatomy of the uterus, including its normal position
Identify the ovaries, linking structure to functional microanatomy
Describe the anatomy of the vagina and female perineum
Identify the ligaments associated with the female reproductive system
Illustrate the blood supply to the female reproductive system
Understand the significance of the innervation of the female reproductive system
Correctly interpret imaging of the female pelvis
This will be good revision for year 1's who have just covered the content, extremely beneficial for year 2 and 3 (it has been some time since we looked at this). I hope to see a lot of you there!
