Every year, you get to elect a new team of students to be the team of Officers (sometimes also referred to as Exec) to lead Your SU, work on campaigns they’re passionate about, and to represent your interests at the highest level in the University.
Your Exec work together with a team of dedicated voluntary student part-time officers, staff and volunteers to run campaigns and make sure you get the most out of your time at university and student experience.

I’m your President: Activities and I’m the lead officer for students on creating opportunities for non-academic development. Consider it all things activity-related!
Ensuring you get the best experience in areas including employability, community building, volunteering and provision of facilities, I’ll be campaigning to improve non-academic development opportunities at the University of Sunderland and assist with all student-led activities.

I’m your President: London and I’m the lead officer for students on our London campus! I'm here to make sure your voices are heard at every level of the University.
I want to make sure our students in London feel part of the University of Sunderland and Your Students' Union, and I'm looking to bring more events and wellbeing support to our campus, while promoting all the representation work Your SU is already doing.
Alongside Your Presidents, there are six Part-time Officer roles within Sunderland Students' Union - Equality and Diversity Officer, Mature and Postgraduate Officer, International Officer, LGBTQ+ Officer, London Campus Officer and Chair of Union Council.
They cover a variety of issues that you might come across and want to make sure no voice is ignored. They support Presidents in the preparation and delivery of events and campaigns, and bring fresh student ideas to the table, as they are still current students themselves.
