The African Business & Students Innovation Summit (AUSS) 2025 is a landmark international event bringing together students, academics, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators from over 40 UK universities to the University of Sunderland for a transformative dialogue on Africa’s future.

This year’s theme, “Smart Africa: AI-Driven Innovations for Sustainable Development, Shaping Africa’s Future,” explores how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can drive economic growth, education, and sustainable development across the continent.

The summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, startup showcases, and networking sessions that connect Africa’s brightest young minds with industry leaders and global thinkers. It will provide a platform to exchange ideas, showcase innovation, and inspire actionable collaboration between African students and the global community.

Following the main conference at The Prospect Building, University of Sunderland, the evening will culminate in an Award & Dinner Party at Quayside Exchange, celebrating African excellence, leadership, and innovation across various sectors.

Organised by the University of Sunderland, in partnership with the African Student Union UK, the Nigerian Students’ Society (NSS), and the Students’ Union, this event stands as a testament to Africa’s resilience, brilliance, and collective potential.
