Nepalese Society: Tihar Event

Tihar, also known as Deepawali, is a five-day festival celebrated in Nepal, typically in October or November. Each day honors different animals and deities:

1. Kaag Tihar (Crows) - Offering food to crows.
2. Kukur Tihar (Dogs) - Celebrating dogs with garlands and treats.
3. Gai Tihar (Cows) - Worshiping cows and the goddess Laxmi.
4. Laxmi Puja - Cleaning and decorating homes to invite the goddess of wealth.
5. Bhai Tika - Sisters pray for their brothers’ well-being and prosperity.

The festival emphasizes the bond between humans and nature, family ties, and the joy of togetherness, filled with lights, music, and festive spirit.
