The UoS SLS is delighted to be able to announce that Carl Gumsley will be joining students to talk about the legal profession, the judiciary, and diversity.

Carl Gumsley has been appointed as Senior Magistrate for the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the South Sandwich Islands and the British Antarctic Territory. Jurisdiction of the role is largely equivalent to the Crown Court and County Court jurisdictions in the UK and also that of Coroner. Carl is currently sitting as a  Tribunal Judge in the North East, and the UoS SLS is excited to be able to host such an event.

This is a fantastic opportunity for LL. B students, Postgraduates and other students who are interested in the legal profession.
