Wear Here for Pride - Sunderland Pride Volunteers 2023
The Sunderland Pride event is an annual celebration of LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning) pride, diversity, and equality that takes place in the city of Sunderland, United Kingdom. Sunderland Pride aims to create a safe and inclusive space where people from all walks of life can come together to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. The event typically includes a range of activities and festivities, such as a pride parade, live entertainment, music performances, guest speakers, community stalls, and various cultural and educational activities.
Volunteers will be able to express their availability to volunteer anytime between 10am to 5pm, doing shift work so that there are always enough volunteers around. As a volunteer, there are plenty of things you may be doing.
Tasks include:
- Managing the stand and giveaways
- Assisting younger children with crafts
- Giving out resources and information
- Handing out refreshments
- Running games or activities
- Holding the Parade Banner and creating a presence!

By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms & conditions below.
For Your SU led events tickets refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested 14 days or more after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable & cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transfered or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding & risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
