Trip to Blackpool
Join Your SU for our first ever trip to the heart of Lancashire, the beautiful seaside town of Blackpool!
At the end of each trip we ask you where you would like to visit in the future and we're always asked for more seaside towns, so we've added this iconic British holiday destination to the calendar.
Blackpool has been attracting visitors to its classic penny arcades and beaches since the early 18th Century. Today it is a mix of old and new. Jump on a tram down the coast, visit the wonderful Madame Tussauds waxworks, head underwater to the mesmerising Sea Life Centre and have a horror thrilled afternoon in the Blackpool Dungeons.
You could also visit the iconic Blackpool Tower, head to their Ballroom, where Strictly Come Dancing is filmed, go see Mokey The Clown in the Circus and reach new heights by taking the lift to the top of the tower!
We want to make this day out as memorable as possible, so when the coach arrives in the city, you'll have approx. 7 and a half hours free time to explore and discover everything Blackpool has to offer.
We will meet outside Your SU @ CitySpace on Sunderland City Campus for 7:15am, the coach leaving at 7:30am and arriving in Blackpool for approx. 10:30am and with the return journey at 6:30pm back to Sunderland City Campus for 9:30pm.
Tickets are just £20. This is much cheaper than it would be to travel by train from Sunderland to Blackpool (approx. £75-90 return and take longer than the bus journey)
We'll also provide you with a handy guidebook to the city, with lots of great suggestions for places to visit and explore during your time there.

Event Terms and Conditions
By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
For Your SU led events, ticket refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk.
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date, unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours. This is to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested more than 14 days after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable and cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transferred or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding and risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
