Join Your SU for a trip to BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.
With a history that stretches back much further than its 2002 opening, Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is the biggest gallery of its kind in the world. Housed in a historic, renovated flour mill on the Gateshead bank of the River Tyne, Baltic present a dynamic, diverse and international programme of contemporary visual art, with an ever-changing calendar of exhibitions and activities designed to give a unique and compelling insight into contemporary artistic practice.
This trip is FREE to book and perfect for those who want to meet new people and visit a fantastic local attraction as a group.
We'll meet outside Your SU @ CitySpace at 11am on Wednesday 13th November before heading to University Metro Station and getting the metro as a group to Gateshead.
You will need to purchase your own metro travel ticket - we recommend that you do this ahead of meeting at CitySpace if you can to allow for us all to get on the metro as quick as possible!
We'll then take the short walk (approx. 15 mins) down the Tyne River Quayside to BALTIC. We'll then go around as a group exploring the 5 floors of incredible contemporary art and giving you the opportunity to view Newcastle from the two amazing viewing platforms.

Book your place now, to let us know you're coming along!
