DISCOUNTS on everything from clothes to toiletries will be up for grabs when Sunderland’s student shopping extravaganza returns this month.

 

On Monday 30 September, shops will be slashing their prices for one night only, as part of the ninth annual student raid at the Bridges shopping centre, Sunderland. And this year’s event, which aims to welcome both new and returning students to the city, is set to be the biggest yet – with freebies, giveaways and goody bags.

 

The event – which runs from 6.30pm until late – will bring students a whole host of start-of-term treats, with discounts at top stores such as River Island, Schuh and Topshop/Topman. Some stores will also be giving away added incentives for shoppers while others will be handing out goody bags to those looking to splash their student loan cash.

 

A DJ will be ramping up the excitement of the event and those who drive to the Bridges can redeem their free parking pass by showing their student ID at the customer services desk.
