This is to discuss the future of medical societies within the Students' Union.
We know that medical societies play a vital role in student life, education, wellbeing, and building a sense of community. Your societies provide valuable opportunities for students, and we want to ensure they continue to thrive.
At the same time, the Students' Union is facing challenges in sustainably supporting the number of societies currently operating. We believe that any future changes should be informed by the people who understand these societies best: you. We therefore want to work with you to understand what support societies need, the challenges you face, and how we can develop a model that better supports medical societies in the long term.
During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to:
Share the challenges your society has faced.
Discuss what support you need from the Students' Union.
Provide feedback on current processes and resources.
Help shape future improvements and priorities for medical societies.
