Pakistan Independence Day is celebrated every year on August 14th to mark the country’s independence from British rule in 1947. It is a national holiday that honors the creation of Pakistan as a separate nation for Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. People across the country celebrate this day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. Festivities include flag-raising ceremonies, parades, cultural events, and patriotic songs. Homes, streets, and public buildings are decorated with green and white flags and lights. Many people also attend special gatherings and watch fireworks displays to express their love for their country.

By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
For Your SU led events, ticket refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk.
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date, unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours. This is to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested more than 14 days after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable and cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transferred or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding and risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
