Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation. Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight. This ‘Funny, outrageous, touching’ (Daily Telegraph), musical sensation is to be experienced by all the family and not to be missed!
Casting includes Ivano Turco as Jamie (Get Up, Stand Up, Bad Cinderella), John Partridge (Cabaret, La Cage Aux Folles, Chicago, Eastenders) as Hugo/Loco Chanelle, Shobna Gulati as Ray (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Coronation Street, Brassic), Hayley Tamaddon as Miss Hedge (Dancing On Ice, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), Rebecca McKinnis as Margaret (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Dear Evan Hansen, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables) and Talia Palamathanan as Pritti (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour and film), with further star casting to be announced.
Your SU has worked to subsidise 60 tickets to just £10 for this performance. When you book through the SU website you will receive an email confirmation, this is not your ticket, however you will be emailed your ticket a few days before the event.
You'll be allocated one of these seats:
Tickets are limited to University of Sunderland students only. If you are planning to attend with friends, you will each need to buy a ticket through this page and when prompted enter your friends name so that we can seat you together.
Please note that this is a Your SU Event and therefore is not included in any 'Wristband' offers.

By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
For Your SU led events, ticket refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk.
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date, unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours. This is to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested more than 14 days after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable and cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transferred or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding and risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
