Your SU
Sunderland Students’ Union is deeply concerned about the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza and we know that many students in our own community will be among those affected by its consequences. We also know that the emotional toll of this conflict can undoubtedly permeate into academic life, leaving students feeling overwhelmed, distracted and distressed.
Whether you're directly affected by the conflict or experiencing stress as a by-product, the University's Wellbeing services are here to provide professional support. Sessions can be booked to discuss your emotions, fears, or anxieties with qualified professionals who are trained to offer coping mechanisms tailored to your situation. For any queries or for a referral form, please email wellbeing@sunderland.ac.uk or access support on the University’s Wellbeing website.
If you feel that your ability to perform academically is being affected, Your SU Advice is here to help. You can discuss options such as deadline extensions, mitigating circumstances applications, and other academic concerns confidentially. Please email us on su.advice@sunderland.ac.uk, or book an SU Advice appointment directly.
