Healthy Relationships Resources

By Alex Mitchell, Wellbeing Champion

With the launch of the Healthy Relationships campaign, below are some resources that they've put together to share with you.

One Love

Love is the most important thing in our lives, yet we are taught very little about it. One Love is on a mission to change that. They educate young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empower them to identify and avoid abuse and how to love better.

Am I in an abusive relationship?

Everyone has arguments, and everyone disagrees with their partners, family members and others close to them from time to time. And we all do things at times that we regret and which cause unhappiness to those we care about. But if this begins to form a consistent pattern, then it is an indication of domestic violence and abuse. Women's Aid has a resource with questions that you can ask yourself and answer to help identify if you're in an abusive relationship.

Brook

Society stigma limits young people's ability to take control of their sexual health, enjoy healthy relationships and explore their identities. The Brook organisation is a free wellbeing and sexual health guide website for young people. They cover a wide range of topics including detailed information on how your body works, pregnancy & abortion, sex, contraception, abuse and so much more. It is a very useful website with articles answering topics that might concern you or things you don't know much about.

Contraception Choices

There are many types of contraception choices available and none are perfect. The Contraception Choices website provides honest information to help weigh up the pros and cons.
