Become part of Welcome Week Crew 2019!

You know best that the University of Sunderland welcome week is one of the biggest and most important weeks of the year for new students. Here is your chance to be part of our 2019 Students’ Union programme of activities and events.

Our Welcome Crew are an amazing team of volunteers who support new students throughout Welcome Week and are a friendly face at our events and activities, making sure everyone feels happy and settled in. From moving into student accommodation, answering questions, providing tips and info, and making sure students are safe throughout the week on and off campus - The Crew is essential to making student’s first University experiences the very best they can be. Help us with a wide range of exciting activities and events for new and returning students. As well as having lots on offer throughout each day, we also have some great, chilled out, alternative evening events planned too.

 

Who can apply?

Any returning Sunderland campus students at the University (levels 2, 3, 4 and postgraduates)

who are available to help between Saturday 14 September and Sunday 22 September.

 

What are the benefits?

Key Dates:

To be considered as a Welcome Week Crew Volunteer, you will need to attend:

  • A compulsory training session (the week before Welcome Week, exact dates and times TBC).
  • At least one shift between Saturday 14th and Sunday 22nd September 2019. (You’ll be expected to volunteer between 9am and 6pm for around 4 to 6 hours per day throughout).
