Can't see the Society you're looking for? You can set up your own in a few simple steps!
Starting your own society is a great way to build your own community and help like-minded students get together at the University. You'll also gain lots of transferable skills that sound great to employers and make friends for life along the way!
3 simple steps to set up a new society
- Find a couple of students to help you run the Society and complete the New Societies Declaration Form - every Society requires at least a President (responsible for leading the society) and a Treasurer (responsible for society finances) on the committee.
- Your SU decides on Society approval
- Meet with Anna (Societies Coordinator) to find out how Your SU can support you and complete Your Societies Registration Form!
Adopt a Society
These societies have been previously set up by students at Your SU and may already have some funding and resources, but don't currently have a committee - that's where YOU can come in!
Would you like to ‘adopt’ one of them? This means you can get involved with running a society, without having to start from scratch!
