As London Campus Officer, I will work with students and staff in London to make sure students’ views are represented and heard. I will work with staff teams at the Students’ Union to develop events and activities specifically for our London based students as well as work to make sure London based students are included in the Union’s representation work and have access to Union services.
In my role, this year I will...
Improve the situation of students who face barriers due to technical difficulties in distance learning;
Ensure better connections and communication between academic services and students;
Promote the visibility of SU representation structures through SSLCs and with school coordinators, course representatives, part time officers and Presidents;
Represent student interest in high-level meetings and help strengthen the learner's voice by improving the representative role of the SU;
Enhance UoSiL facilities that allow the SU to provide services to a growing university.
Delivered inductions to new and returning students;
Actively spoke to students on the Virbela platform during Welcome Week;
Started planning campaigns and attending meetings with students and staff in London;
Continue to ensure academic societies are vibrant and help to bring students together.
