How to help during the pandemic

Can you give a helping hand to the ones who most need it during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Check out the volunteering opportunities below:

Vaccination Care Volunteer

As a Vaccination Care Volunteer, you will be supporting patients all the way through from arrival to discharge. You will help patients get to the right place to receive their vaccination and be on hand to provide first aid if anyone has a medical emergency.

Sunderland Mind Volunteer

Sunderland Mind are an independent charity providing confidential, high-quality services for individuals, carers and families experiencing emotional or mental health problems and are now looking for volunteers who can support their work both in their wellbeing hub and the community; this can include meeting people at their doorstep, delivering packs and wellbeing information to service users, technical support with creating and editing videos and other media support.

NHS Volunteer Responders

NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up to support the NHS during the COVID-19 outbreak. You can sign up via this website to help in a number of ways, by collecting and delivering essentials to older or vulnerable people self-isolating, to checking in with them by telephone to see how they are coping.
