Union Council (October)

Union Council is where the big SU decisions are made and is your forum to influence the Union and make Students’ Union policy. It is also the place to hear from Your Presidents and ask them questions about their campaigns and current work. Have you got an idea or is there a change you think we should make? Then bring it along for discussion!

As a member of the Students’ Union, we encourage you to attend and speak at the Union Council meetings about the things you are passionate about – making positive change to help make life better for Sunderland students.

To attend the meeting and to recieve the papers in advance of the meeting, use the book now link. This meeting will be held digitally via Zoom, using the password 253261.

Before each Union Council meeting, students new to Union Council can attend training to understand what Union Council is, how you can influence and ask questions, and be provided with specific detail about the agenda and items within the papers. Training starts at 4.30pm via Zoom - no sign-up required.

Papers and previous minutes of Union Council can be found here.
