Time: 10:00AM-03:00PM (you can volunteer for just a couple of hours, as preffered)
Volunteering is a great way to get outside, enjoy gentle exercise, learn new skills, socialise and help your local community. CEED needs volunteers to help look after a greenspace in Sunderland City Centre.
Volunteers will help with a variety of conservation tasks across the site to help to improve Galleys Gill. No previous experience is needed - just enthusiasm! Tasks will include a variety of vegetation management using a range of hand tools. Pruning back trees, shrubs and plants to open up footpaths and steps; coppicing (small tree felling) and general tidying of the site.

CEED is a charity which focuses on green spaces, on how they are used and how they can be improved.
As part of the Lost Landscapes and Learning project, CEED started working at Galleys Gill and they need volunteers like you!
Galley’s Gill is an important green and open space, with great potential to be improved for both people and wildlife.
