Welcome to the 2016 Festival of Learning.
This year’s three-day festival builds on the success and feedback from the 2015 Learning and Teaching Conference. It is organised by academic development staff, in partnership with Academic Forum, and colleagues and students from across the University.
Each day of the Festival carries a theme. Day 1: Current context of Higher Education, Day 2: Learning in the 21st century and Day 3: Co production and engaging students. The themes will be addressed across the three days by a stimulating range of keynote presentations, workshops, presentations and posters. We are delighted to have a number of national speakers, as well as inputs from staff and students across the University and partner colleges. There should be plenty to interest everyone.
The Fringe Events
Alongside the formal workshops and presentations, you are invited to engage in fringe events and activities-such as a WALK with some Fine Art colleagues; or try out Oculus Rift, a piece of technology that simulates all kinds of exciting/innovative experiences. Food and Drinks will be available at some events and wherever possible and weather permitting, events will be delivered outside.
We look forward to engaging you across the three days, to sign up for one session or the whole event programme please go to the link below where you will find details, descriptions and timings.
