After the amazing success of our Learning and Teaching Conference last year, we are once again hosting a celebration of students' work at this year's Students' Success Stories Conference. This student facing conference will be a great way for our students to show what brilliant work they have been doing. The conference, in partnership with the University and our 12 School Coordinators, will be totally free to attend and lunch will be provided.
We are looking for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to come along and talk about, or exhibit, course-related work you have been involved in – we are looking for activities which have inspired and motivated you to learn and succeed! This could be a project, research you have undertaken (e.g. for your dissertation), an educational trip or exchange, or to display work you have created, for example, a creative arts, media or photography project. We are looking for a wide range of projects and activities to showcase examples of student success – you can present your work individually, as a team with other students or with your lecturer – the choice is yours!
There are a range of ways you can present your work – as a presentation to the whole conference, as a "round table" discussion, where you discuss your work with a small group and invite feedback, or as a "lightning talk" – a fun way to talk quickly and concisely! We will have an area of exhibition space at the conference to display your work, or you could design a poster which will be displayed at the conference.
If you are interested in participating either as a presenter or as a delegate, please email Gill Davison at firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your proposal and preferred method of presenting.
The deadline for proposals is Monday 19 February, so email before then to book your spot!
