Minibus Drivers
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: MINIBUS DRIVER
RESPONSIBLE TO: The Transport Co-ordinator.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To drive Students' Union minibuses on the services provided by the Union, in compliance with current Union policies and procedures.
MAIN DUTIES:
- To be aware of and to comply with all the Union rules and regulations, laid out for the use of any union vehicles.
- To observe at all times the current legislation and vehicle licensing laws.
- Ensure the safety of passengers at all times in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and Union Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure customers are treated with politeness and courtesy at all times, and maintain the customer care focus of the Union at all times.
- Control numbers of passengers as directed in line with vehicle legislation/maximum occupancy numbers.
- Be fully conversant with Union Fire Control Procedures and any venue/local instructions in order to assist in carrying out emergency evacuation in accordance with Union procedure.
- Working in accordance with Health and Safety statutory and union regulations and procedures.
- Inform the Duty Manager immediately of any hazardous situation, non-compliance of Health and Safety rules and threat to the well being of passengers and staff.
- The uniform and name/ID badge must be worn at all times when working.
- To undertake other duties as required.
- To undertake training as maybe required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
FIRST 3 ARE LEGAL REGUIREMENT BY OUR INSURERS:
- At least 21 years old
- Held a British driving licence for a minimum of 24 months
- Have D1 classification
- To work a minimum of two shifts per week (poss evening/weekend)
