Information on the club
The University football club is the biggest at the University it currently has 7 teams of which 6 teams compete on a weekly basis in BUCS (4 male and 2 female) and we have a community team. In recent years both the male and the female sides have had great success, with the females winning their league and gaining promotion two years in a row (2005/6 & 2006/7) and the mens first team have had much te same succes with have to successive promotion and reaching the plate final ( 2006/7 & 2007/8 leauge winners, plate finalists 2007).
The club competes in the national BUCS league against other Universities around the United Kingdom.

Matches are played Wednesday afternoons, the mens first and second team both play at Premier league side Sunderland AFC's training ground the Academy of Light.
