 Information on the club

The fencing club is one of the oldest University Sports clubs. We offer instructions in all 3 weapons - Foil, Epee & Fabre in a safe, friendly and informal environment. The club welcomes beginners/experienced fencers of any fitness level at any time of the year, and can offer coaching by male and female instuctors as appropriate, though normally we fence "mixed" with men and women competing on an equal footing.

Competition is available for those who want it. We have male and female BUCS teams, and there are friendlies with other clubs as well as NOVICE SENIOR and National level competitions is running throughout the year. Nobody is forced to compete if they don't want to, but anyone who does want to.

The University currently  has 2 team competing, 1 male and 1 female.
