Each year, we have a multi-activity sports tournament against our local and bitter rivals, Teesside Students' Union. All of our teams compete against their equivalent, in what can only be described as a battle through blood, sweat and tears for the coveted TeesWear Trophy. Last year's Varsity tournamnet was held in Teesside with over 20 events taking place (not including the well hyped boat race). Unfortunatly we were defeated by Teesside in a close fought day. This year, the Varsity tournament will be held back in Sunderland and we hope to build on last years competitors and bring the TeesWear Trophy back home. Wether your competing or not, it is a remarkable opportunity for the Union to pull together and show its true colours of the USSU!! This year we'll make it ours again!!
