Community Bridge

Community Bridge is a student volunteering project that has been set up to enable you to undertake voluntary opportunities.  We work with a wide range of organisations to help set up different projects, and here are some examples to give you an idea of what we have to offer

  • Sunderland Youth Offending Service (Mentoring Scheme)
  • Young Enterprise (Learning Mentors)
  • Age Concern
  • N.E.R.S (North of England Refugee Service)

Don’t worry though there are plenty to choose from, if you’re looking for something else.  The volunteering opportunities we offer are extremely varied; you can do anything from working with children or the elderly to conservation and sporting activities. You can give as little or as much time as you wish and you will receive all the support and training you need.

The Community Bridge team will strive to match you with a suitable project that is related to your degree, future career, hobbies or interests.

How to get involved? It couldn’t be easier…

Registration for Community Bridge is quick and easy and you can find more information at the Careers and Employability Service, The Gateway Building, Chester Road; by contacting Alesha Aljeffri, your Student Volunteering Advisor or…by visiting the Community Bridge website
