The third National Student Survey (NSS) goes live on February 5 at http://www.thestudentsurvey.com

Final year students at Sunderland will be invited, by email, to go online and give their views on a range of issues including teaching quality, feedback from academics, academic support and learning resources.

The survey, which is being undertaken by research firm Ipsos MORI, is anonymous and should take students no more than five minutes to complete. The University and Students' Union have been working together to encourage final years to give their views.

Sunderland students are being offered the incentive of £500 worth of prizes *if they fill in the survey online by March 9. The survey is important as its results are being used, increasingly, by students to choose where to study.*

All eligible Sunderland students are being encouraged to participate in order for the survey to generate reliable information - to give praise where it's due, but also to comment on any areas for improvement.Leaflets with more information about the National Student Survey are available through the Students' Union or by contacting aboutus@sunderland.ac.uk .

The results will be published on the Teaching Quality Information website http://www.tqi.ac.uk
