Students' Council is the second highest decision making body of the Students' Union, the first being General Meetings.
Students' Council has the power to form Policies and Byelaws and to Change the Schedules of the Constitution. Sub Committees are also elected at Students' Council meetings. In other words it is your debate and your decision which determines the USSU policies, byelaws and constitution.
Students' Council is a meeting for students to raise any issues of concern they may have with the University/Union.
As Student Reps represent their constituents, the Students' Union Executive Committee represents YOU.
The Executive Committee meet on a regular basis with the University Executive and are able to take any issues of concern you may have through the appropriate channels ensuring that the students' views are expressed and considered. So come along and let us know what your expereinces are and join in on our debates. Many issues and the latest happenings within University and Union procedures/facilities are discussed, therefore keeping you updated with the latest information.
