The National Student Survey (NSS) goes live on February 4 at

http://www.thestudentsurvey.com

Final year students at Sunderland will be invited, by email, to go online and give their views on a range of issues including teaching quality, feedback from academics, academic support and learning resources.   The independent national survey is completed by final year students and provides you with an opportunity to make your opinions on your experience known at a national level.   The results are used to help prospective students make informed choices about where and what to study, as well as enabling universities to identify areas for improvement.

The survey, which is being undertaken by research firm Ipsos MORI, is anonymous and should take students no more than five minutes to complete the 22 questions, giving a rating from 1 - 5.     The University and Students' Union have been working together to encourage final years to give their views.

All eligible Sunderland students are being encouraged to participate in order for the survey to generte reliable information - to give praise where it's due, but also to comment on any areas for improvement.

There are prizes to be won for completing the survey totalling £500 these are:

First Prize   -   £200 Travel Voucher

and 10 other prizes worth between £50 and £25 each so please take time to complete the survey.   Thh winners will be announced in due course by the University.

Leaflets with more information aout the National Student Survey are avaialble through the Students' Union or by contacting Steve Heywood, the University of Sunderland NSS Communications Co-ordinator.
