Student Support Officer

I’m Karen, the Student Support Officer.
I am currently studying English and Creative Writing here at the University of Sunderland. Since joining the Union and becoming involved in all of the events going on around campus I have the best time. I would encourage every student to get involved in some way.
Over the following year I will be working closely with the rest of the executive team and will try and help them with any projects they are working on. I will also be concentrating on my own projects such as MAPLE, (Mature and Parent Led Environment), which is a new social group for Mature students and students with children. I am hoping to become more involved with RAG, SWWAG and Connect as the year continues as they are a brilliant
opportunity to meet students and to discover more of what our
students want.
My door is always open so please don’t be afraid to come for a chat. I am a student just like you and I want to do all I can to support you in all areas and make this year the best it can be!
