Hi. I'm Gary. I thought I would take this time to introduce myself as the current Student Representation Officer at the Students’ Union.
Starting late in the year, I have had few opportunities to meet many of you yet, but hopefully those who went to the Christmas party will remember me as the guy in the armour with the sword! I’m hoping over the coming months that I can meet more of you and get more feedback about your experiences as Student Representatives.
In my time so far as the Student Representation Officer, I have been privileged to hear of all the great work that has been done so far. This is from the Student Reps bringing fresh ideas to the Students’ Union and the existing reps who have continued to do sterling work for their student body.
Together, I hope that we can continue the work that the Students’ Union champions, in providing the best student experience we can at the University of Sunderland. With almost a full academic year ahead, I see great things from the 500 strong body of Student Representatives we have.
